I'm at NJPAC Friday May 13, 2011 (great performance by Sonny Rollins!). NJPAC is in Newark NJ, a city with which I am not very familiar. On leaving I set the nav to my previously stored address in Brooklyn NY (in the "history" list, not the address book). I inattentively follow the arrow display for a while until things don't look so much like the way I came in. I look at the map and see that the checkered flag indicating my destination is somewhere in the heart of Jersey City. Believe me, you really don't want to be there unless you really want to be there. I go round and round until I find my way onto I-95 going north to the Lincoln Tunnel (those of you who know New Jersey will know that to go from Newark to Brooklyn at 10 pm Friday night you would want to take the Holland Tunnel, but I was just happy to get out of Jersey City). Somewhere along here, or maybe when I got out in Manhattan, the nav finally figured out where my house is (it's never had trouble before). So ... should I just bring my Garmin along as a backup next time I venture into the jungle? Anyone had a similar experience? By the way, almost exactly a year ago (around May 5 2010) I did go to Jersey City to get tires installed. The address was still stored in the nav's history list and maybe that's where it thought it was going. I know I didn't select that destination though.

Next time you might need to venture into or near the jungle, I say bring your 9mm as I do. This would be more bennifical than a Garmin. I would so quickly put a cap in someone's ass if they started showing out in a place like that!
