I noticed something I think is strange.
I locked the car and after 1/2 hour I looked in and saw the light next to the Park(P) still lite!
What up what that?
Anyone know why?

also happens to mine. maybe its supposed to stay lit!

 

It finally went out after about an hour. I wonder why?

 

As I mentioned to you in another thread, most newer BMW's have a "sleep" mode that it goes into after some period of time. Until the car goes to sleep, the indicator light on the gear selector stays illuminated.

Something as simple as opening a door will cause the car to "wake up", starting the timed process all over again.

Everything is normal for that light to stay on for some time. It'll eventually go out.
