I was told that new cars that are sold in the US have to have knee airbags...

I'm not aware of any knee airbags. Padded knee bolsters are fairly common -- maybe that's why we don't have the storage?

Here's my system - it works for me for what it's worth.

CD's go in the net by the passenger footwell. Coins go in the ashtray. Sunglasses go in the carpeted compartment in the door, wallet goes in the other compartment on the door. Assorted things like cards, keys, kleenex etc. goes in the storage under the cellphone. Maps go in the passenger seatback. Registration and other junk goes in the glove compartment. Manual goes in the space under the steering wheel. Parking stubs go in the storage compartement under the CD player. Flight log, gas cup go in the storage bin in the trunk. That's all I need - works pretty well. The only thing I'd like is a better place for the CD's since I don't store them with the cases.

Here's my system - it works for me for what it's worth.

CDs cases- Stay in house for the 7 that I am listening to which are all loaded.
Sunglasses and nightime glasses go in the drivers door
Office Parking card slides in the slot in the drivers visor
Altoid Mints, other candy and Sony Cybershot go in the lower armrest (for cooling)
VDO Tire pressure guage, other cards and tube of Carboflo in the phone eject cradle
Coins in ashtray.
Cell phone (RAZR) in pocket or on v long drives plugged into car charger which is in the glove box. The DC outlet is right under the Glove box.
Manuals registration Insurance etc in Glovebox
Small Tissue box in passenger footwell net.
2 backless boosters, matching the upholstery are in the trunk. Kids just grab em when the ride with me.

I have never really kept much clutter in my car so it all works.

I keep everything in pockets of my coat. Ok, some coins under CD, CD-disks in the armrest since I don't have phone cradle there, more CD's in the net at pass footwell, maps, candy....

Maybe with good organizasion skills we can mange? Even there is not generous space for our things.

Have you seen this little device? Converts your falshlight outlet into a power outlet - you can charge your phone right inside the glovebox!

Thanks excellent option. I have the charger going in to the glove box from behind. Its hard to notice it unless you are in the back seat.
