That sticker that basically says "modifications to the car can void the warranty" was a pain in the butt to take off. I took it off and probably spent 30 minutes getting that glue off.

But it's a tiny problem to have with such a great car!

I used a single edge razor blade and then some lemon based solvent to remove what was left of the adhesive. If your carefull, the razor won't scratch the glass.

What's even harder than that sticker are the 'Warning' lables on the sun visor. I don't even think I'll attempt to remove those. I had trouble removing the 'Climate' sticker next to the IDrive knob. Took me 15min. to remove the sticker and then I wiped it with cloth and rubbing alcohol. Worked great.

Wow, I'm surprised you used alcohol on the black maple wood. Risky call! Glad it worked out for you!

Exactly what I was thinking. Alcohol would've been the last thing to use!

To remove glue you should use "BUTTER". Works excellent on any surface (plastic, glass, varnished wood).

Give it a try next time you buy a CD and you would like to remove the price sticker.

Old chemistry trick!

WBB: Does margarine also work, or pure butter? Also, on the wood or windshield, how do you get the surface back to normal, i.e. not slippery/oily from the butter? Thanks much...interesting trick.

Dr: I thought people were saying the alcohol was very bad for the wood finish. Agreed for the windwhield though. Thanks.
