Steptronic VS Sport Automatic

OK, I just read ALL the info that EBM posted...whew, that was lots of info. Thanks again EBM...
Most of the info was related to the 335i but it just so happens that the 535i seems to have the exact same transmission as the 335i whether you get Standard Steptronic OR Sport Automatic...
After doing a bit more research and with help from other members from this and other sites even a sales rep from a local BMW dealer....it appears that Steptronic 535i and Sport Auto 535i BOTH use the same transmission: 6HP19ZTU "aka 6HP21" (this is the same transmission that is in 335i also)
The Sport Auto option only adds the paddles and the software to go with it. The transmission itself is the same.

Ya the tranny is the same. Thats why I figured it was a good read. But either way I think you should get the sports auto. its worth it.
