Default Steptronic Shifting Issue

Hello everyone, I have searched around and not found the issue I am having.

To start, my transmission shifts perfectly in D mode just as one would expect. Smooth, no jerkiness, etc. When I move my shifter over into DS mode, the dash changes from D to DS as one would expect however the shift pattern remains the D shift pattern. Even more bizarre is that when I push the shifter to get into manual mode, the dash changes appropriately to M3 or M4 etc depending on which gear the car is in. However, the car will not actually shift the car according to my push or pull. It seems that the car recognizes what I am requesting but simply remains in the D shifting pattern.

As the indicator lights are changing I am thinking that the switches and wiring are ok so all that leaves is the software. I have done nothing to any of the software and I have also let the car go to sleep many times as well as disconnect the battery and reconnect it to reset all the modules. The issue remains.

My guess is the transmission needs to be re-flashed by the dealer.

Any thoughts?

I've got a similar problem. In DS mine actually shifts properly in this mode, holds gears longer etc, but when I put it in "manual mode" I can select gears but sometimes it will shift like its in drive.
