Is your vehicle equipped with active steering?

Anytime the battery has been disconnected, you need to reset active steering.. you can do that by:

insert key to key-on-engine-off position
turn you steering wheel all the way to the left
then turn your steering wheel all the way to the right
then center the steering wheel
then take the key out for about 45 second before starting your car again.

That is the reset procedure for the active steering. Try that out and report back.
