steering wheel vibrating

Has anyone else had their steering wheel vibrate while braking? If so anybody know what needs to be done?

you might have a bent wheel

Maybe the brake rotors.....I had in on the X5....still need to bring it in......wheels are great...not bent...just change new tires too.

yea i just checked my wheels didnt see anything bent, i think it may be the rotors because i didnt change them when i changed my brake pads. could this have anything to do with steering fluid?

Usually warped rotors will do this. If it was a bad or out of balance wheel, you would feel it regardless of brakes applied

My Ride: '04 525i. Bluetooth upgrade, SS brake lines, iPod interface upgrade. Air intake kit, sport suspension, 20% tint. Other: 2001 Audi A4 Avant: S4 suspension, 20% tint, painted calipers, slotted rotors, iPod interface, custom grilles.

I agree, probably not your wheels. Must be a rotor or bad pads. Most likely....rotor.

A good excuse to get new rotors and pads. While you're at it, paint those calipers!!!

so true. its the rotors and they are definitely warped. i'd recommend you have all four rotors turned and replace those pads. that should give you a fresh start. and paint your calipers RED FTW!

haha im way ahead of you i painted them red a few months back, it looks great with a black car
