Yes. I set the wheel to my favorite spot and put it in memory. After I shut off the car I pushed the button to move the wheel to its top position. After doing this once, the wheel does it every time. Of course the reverse occurs when I start the car, i.e. the wheel lowers to my memory spot. Makes it easier to get in and out.

I suspect there are two reasons for tilting:
1) remembering the last position the wheel was at while driving
2) driver's settings memorized in the key

depending on which one is used, the wheel either tilts when you open the door, or when you switch the ignition in position 1 or 2 (this is what mine does).

it might also have something to do with "comfort acess", LCI etc. etc.

uhm.. i got confused already - I think we need an expert to answer your question..

My LCI Comfort Seats-equipped car wheel moves up when I shut off the car with the 'double-push' Stop button. The side seat bolsters also retract at the same time. The wheel moves to its memory position and the side bolsters contract when I start the car. My key fob remains in my pocket the entire time. However, none of this happens with my wife's fob because we never set them for her fob.
To do these actions the first time, I did insert the key fob when we set the memory settings and the tilt & bolster as well.
