On my steering wheel, the bmw roundel is dented in a few spots. It dont remember it being like that. How could that have happened? Can it be replaced?

Not surprised to see steering wheel paraphernalia dented in LA cars; how much of your commute time do you commonly spend bashing your head against the wheel in frustration?

its an ... "issue" previously mentioned ... the roudel on the steering wheel is very thin, dents easily, & some have actually poped it in.

talk to you dealer & see what they say, maybe you'll be lucky & can get the steering wheel center replaced under warranty - but doubtful since usually the airbag is attached to the center piece of the steering wheel - in many other cars it is at least.

Mine has the same problem. within 3 days after i got my car when i press it too hard. Talk to the dealer and complain about the quality of the car, but they denied to replace it under the warranty. Wondering maybe we can purchase the emblem off ebay and replace it ourself. It looks pretty bad.

I checked into it. The emblem is not replaceble. It is part of the airbag cover. Probably the reason dealers arent wanting to cover it under warranty. BIG $$$$$$

Then, it shouldn't be a POS. How does part of the steering wheel bend when you press the horn??
