The PO of my 545i must have gotten pissed off and slammed the emblem in the center of my steering wheel and its dented in 2 spots. I was thinking of getting black and white roundels all around. I know how they are replaced all around except for the steering wheel... I am afraid its not on grommets and will affect the airbag??? Thoughts? Anyone do this on this particular model?

You cannot replace the emblem on the steering wheel. It is binded to the airbag cover. You will damage the steering wheel and destroy the emblem trying to pry it off.
I recommend an overlay. I have the carbon fiber one and its made of hard aluminum. You just apply the emblem on top of the stock one

our probably pretty much "fuc$%^".. what he said, I dont think you can change it without s major issue, your better off getting overlays and making the best out of it

The dents may be poppable. If you can get something very thin and shaped like an L or something you can get under it and possibly massage the dent out.

I am hoping the new black and white will sit flush and have enough to adhere to. Not sure how rigid it is. Just dont want the new one to dent the same way since it sits on top of the old.
