Default Steering Wheel Reupolster

Anybody now of a reputable shop in the Los Angeles area?

I want to make it thicker with softer leather than stock.

Thanks for the replies!

I'd just check online, there are a ton of online retailers that will sell you an already recovered wheel and take your old one in as a core. Mine is pretty worn and that's what I'll be doing.

My wheels is chipping all around. Iv owned the car for almost 3 years and after last summer it started to chip. Now it looks bad.

I picked one up from a junk yard... but it still isnt as good as I want it.

I bought a spare from a junkyard. So was just planning on swapping until my stock heated wheel gets wrapped.

I had a guy in Bulgaria refurbish a steering wheel for me. I asked him to increase the padding and use the three-color stitching from the "M" steering wheels.

Sergei is a member of bimmerforums, his user-name is "shepott."

Here are some photos of the finished product:

It cost $255 (including the shipping), which is a whole lot cheaper than buying a "M" or "Sports" wheel and airbag. I just swapped over the controls and airbag from my old wheel. Once of these days I'll clean-up the old wheel and sell it on eBay to recover some of the cost.
