I just had an alignment performed; the alignment is fine. However, the steering WHEEL is offset slightly to the left. Is there such a fix as Active Steering reset procedure for this issue? The dealer saids that another alignment will not fix the issue.

Do you have Active Steering? I don't, but I thought that this kind of problem could be corrected via reset procedure from the idrive or something .

I was told you can reset the steering by turning the wheel all the way to the left, all the way to the right then all back to the left. This I guess applys to the fly bye wire steering, but dont qoute me, I was told this.

I assume you don't have active steering...

If you don't, and the steering wheel isn't centered after an alignment, then I'm guessing the people who did the alignment are clueless. If you do have AS, then there are two different reset procedures. One is sort of automatic where the car will adjust itself over time (or you can do the turn the wheel to the right and to the left as described in other threads) and the other is a reset procedure that takes only a few minutes but the car has to be connected to a BMW service computer for it to happen.
