Starter gave out on me:(

Can anyone give me information where can I get a good price for a new starter? My starter just gave out yesterday and I need it replace asap, I called Bmw and they want a arm and a leg for a new starter. Any info will be greatful

Yes and the price is over 400$ I just hope I can find the starter at a good price.

HMMMM, Garry is 25% off for us, too. I'm guessing that is the best price you'll find?

I dunno if a used one would do you any good. But eBay or Craigslist might be another source if you re desperate.

Had mine replaced under warranty for 06.

Unless you have a ton of miles on your car I'd see what help BMWNA would be to share some of the cost or even cover it 100%. I would not expect a starter to fail on a 3-4 year old car unless it spend time under water or was a taxi that was started 50 times a day.

well I love to drive and it's over 50k so I'm out of the question on BMW cover cost.
