I recently got 4 moven 19" m6 rims as a birthday present..after i installed them i realized i had vibration at certain speeds (not suprising..after reading monacobmw vibration issues with the rep 166) but after i put on hubcentric rings i realize that the vibration is ALMOST gone but there is still more vibration compared to my oem 17"....is this normal? also i hear small squeling sounds from my brakes before a stop....is still due to the wheels or the brakes?

thank you in advance

You pay the replica price!

You'll live with the vibration until you change the wheels to OEM's, sorry!

As long as the wheels to not hit the chassi or brakepads no squaling sounds should occuor...

I thought movens are considered good quality reps? well just wonderin do u get more road feel on the steering wheel with 19" compared to 17"...its not necessarily vibration but its like i can feel everything on the road....i have active steering with 34psi all around....i notice cars with active steering will a have a natural engine buzz feel on it all the time anyway?...any poeple who has changed from 17" to 19" have this problem?

Vibration is vibration! For sure the feeling is more tence but no vibrations should occour.
Do you have quality tyres?

Please check correct tyre pressures from your B-pillar or manual

any poeple who has changed from 17" to 19" have this problem?

Changing from 16" to 18" wheels and tyres gave me no vibrations, nor should 19" OEM rims and
quality tyres do!

Thanks for replying so fast...well to answer your question

"Vibration is vibration! For sure the feeling is more tence but no vibrations should occour.Do you have quality tyres?":

Its not the same feeling like before i put on hub rings but i sure notice the car vibrates overall more than rolling with the 17".... Im using Toyo proxes T1R..

"Please check correct tyre pressures from your B-pillar or manual"

I think in the manual they say to use 32 psi in the front and 34/35 at the back...but in my country there are pot holes everwhere....(Thailand) therefore i decided to push the front to 34psi instead...

Im pretty satisfied with the wheels but im just unsure if these small vibrations is due to my replica wheels or just the large size + the road surface...

Go for what the manual says but about + 2-3 psi (meaning 34-35 F and 36 - 38 R).
Note that the rear tyres should always have higher psi than the front ones in a BMW.

Also note that the psi's vary dipendending on that tyres size you have.
Remember to check the tyre pressures when the tyres are cold.

But, I'm afraid that the tyre pressure has nothing to do with your vibration problem.

If nothing helps, go for OEM 18" wheels and Michelin or Bridgestone NON RF tyres, I'm 100% sure that will make you happy.

It's, in my point of view, not smart to spoil the nice driving plaesure of an fine E60 with wrong wheels/tyres

Oh...thanks i will change the tire pressure tomoro...just wondering if the minor vibrations are ok?...i can always see the passenger headrests vibrating when im on the highway around 140km/h...but i dont feel that much vibration...i hope its just the low profile tyres making these small vibration.....but after i put on the alluminium rings it really made a large different...i hope its just not the wheels....because i just saved up to buy a Hamann muffler....and dont want to spend that on a new set of oem wheels.....any more opinions?

Thanks ricracing!

ACS6,

So you do have vibration issues, but when you were trying to sell it to me, you said you guarantee there's no vibration issue. I'm retracting my offer. Thanks.
