If anyone gets told otherwise by their dealer then I suggest they fight it hard as this issue is so well publicised it would be difficult for them to wriggle out of it, in whatever country (they are, after all, a global company!).
It depends on many factors.

For example, has anyone in Europe tried to get replacement RFTs after 15,000 miles due to excessive noise and poor ride characteristics.

Not a problem to get them in the US!

I might be imagining this but I thought I read somewhere that this also had been a problem on the E39!
I had 4 e39's before the e60, including the M5 in the photo (sob sob!!!), and yep, the doors squeaked more than the guests at a cheese convention. Much as I am a big fan of BMW and the '5' in particular, I don't understand why I can get in my wife's toyota and not have a single squeak, but BMW can't sort out the b@**dy door seals!

I quite agree, none of my previous cars have ever had such a problem. Apart from 2 Audi A6s that I had none of the others were anywhere near premium brands.

BMW do seem to have an overkill of rubber seals around the doors though - presumably to make the interior ultra quiet. Conversely it seems to have the opposite effect with the "mouse effect" noises...

I have a coating of teflon along all my seals now. They replaced them 4 times under warranty and the teflon is the 'latest' way to solve the problem. 3 months in and no creaks so heres hoping.

Anybody got any top tips for curing the squeaky door syndrome? I thought this would be a thing of the past with the e60 models, but apparently not.

Thanks
I am angry with BMW. I have a 530 XI, built in August 2006. I have been to the dealer 5 times to solve the sqeaky door syndrome. Not yet. They changed the seals but the problem came bake again. I hear a ratling noise as well. I was told that it comes from the hood. They adjusted the hood adjuster but the noise keeps coming back again.
I also feel that the car is not solid and other noises come and go (from the drivers belt, from the rear sunshade)
Probably I have to sell this car. I am very angry with BMW.
