I have an 07' 530i and I am curious if BMW cured the problem with the squeaky door seals in older models? I had an 04 before and that was probably the most annoying thing about my car. I took it in, got them replaced, and the sound eventually came back. I sure hope the squeaks do not come back! Have a great new years everyone!

The SIBs published here are useful indicators outside the USA but not binding on all markets.

If you get a SA playing silly b@ggers it could prove interesting. OTOH they're mostly reasonable about us providing them with extra information to help them provide a better service.

Squeaky door seals are still here !!!

I have an '07 530i and my doors squeak.......even after they replaced the seals 3 months ago, the squeak came back a week later.

I've learned to live with it (sort of) since there seems to be no real fix for it.

Please see the following thread and my post number 3. It seems to have worked for my 2006 model and the fix was done quite a few weeks ago now.

One word: Gummiphledge.

It's available at your dealer, and it is what they use the majority of the time when a customer complains of interior squeaks and the like. It's basically a rubber/vinyl lubricant/protectant that you apply to all the door and trunk seals to keep them supple. Plus, it will stop the squeaking. Just reapply every few months as needed.
