when closing my boot/trunk lid I use the grab handles underneath the lid to pull it down firmly. recently i've noticed it generates a loud squeaking sound when closing, not AS its closing i.e its not the spring arms that hold the lid, more when it actually locks/latches in place i.e when its shut.

as the car is still only 5 weeks old i figured it might just be some components around the locking/latch area need a bit of grease or something? or maybe the boot seal weather strip is catching (doesn't seem to be), any ideas?

to be honest i've not had chance to remedy it yet but just thought i'd ask the question incase anyone had any ideas.
