Hi I just got an Alignment 3 months ago at the dealer, I had a squared setup 18" 245 40 R18 all round. Now I am running a staggered setup 245 40 R18 and 275 35 R18. My question is, I don't want to pay another $200 for an alignment at the dealer b/c my car as active steering, the car drives fine, should I still get an alignment?

WOW! $200 for an alignment?? you should do what i did and get the Lifetime alignment @ Firestone I think i paid $150 during a special but its normally around $179. As long as you own your car you can go in and have an alignment without paying extra i would highly recommend it!

Hey. I tried to go to Firestone but they told me they couldn't do my car. I told them the make and model, and sales rep told me that they don't do BMW or Mercedes-Benz. Bummer, because I would've like to get in on that deal.

It depends on whether they have the proper equipment. I found some Firestone locations have the laser equipment, some do not. I had my E38 aligned by the Firestone in Naples.

in addition to the above mentioned quote, from what i hear some states may have different regulations and may or may not participate in the lifetime alignment program due to road conditiond (potholes, weather, ect..). i know for a fact in socal they do, i have been to 2 different locations now and have even lowered my car and went in after to align it up again with no problems. I would call at least 5 locations in your surrounding areas and find out if they do it. GL
