Do sprint booster users suffer from the transmission slam?the slam i am reffering to is the one while you come to a stop the transmission slams as if you were hit in the rear...does the sprint booster help or make it worse or does it have no affect on this problem at all?thanks

The SB modifies the electronic signal to "sharpen/speed up" the accelerator action. But given the complexity of our cars I suppose it is possible that some cross-talk is going on with the transmission. Have you tried unplugging it to isolate the problem to the transmission only?

no,i do not have a sprint booster.i thought maybe the problem was tied into the throtle response, since everyone says to try the tranny reset to see if it fixes the slam.if anyone used a sprint booster and has this slam i can rule the sb out..if it helps with the slam i would get a sprint booster...

My Ride: SOLD...Jet Black 2008 550i M Sport with SAT, black interior. RPI exhaust and air scoop, 35% huper optik tint all around, CF roundels, flat black kidneys, Springfield Armory XD-40 jet black in glove box, charcoal filter removed.
I have the SB v II. Although I've experienced the transmission slam from time to time (its not consistent on mine), the addition of the SB had no effect either way.

The "slam" will happen whether you have the sb or not. I've done my own "tests" with and without the sb and I can honestly confirm that the slam does ocassionally happen both ways.

a sprint booster will give you transmission problems sooner or later though... It puts more strain on your entire car.
If you ask me, it's a useless device because its all between the ears. You might as well just push the pedal down more to achieve the same thing.
