I wonder if those who recommend against it have ever actually used one? Ive had mine for almost 5 years now. My car has seen many valet attendants, including many in Las Vegas. These attendants drive many cars, including numerous E60s. And most every one comments on the throttle feel - Ive been asked so many times what is under the hood. And that is the whole point of the SB. No, it doesnt add horsepower. It simply gives you access to your horsepower by reducing the amount of pedal travel needed. After 4 years and well over 120,000 miles of use, my feelings about my SB1 have not changed from my 2008 post here:

to put it simple, the feeling is like driving a old style car were the wire from the peddle is connect direct to the engine, no computer to control it. Just like a 80s mini
