Hi
I will order 530i but I need your help.
Actually, 530i with sports package looks so nice.
But a few owners complain its handling because of Runflat tires.
Is it really bad?
If you own 530i sports package, how about your experience?
When I drove 530i sports package, I felt my car on ICE.
My dealer told me it becomes better if I change Runflat tires.
For this case, I am curious why I have to order 530i sports package
Thank you.

sport package gives you all of this on the 530i

Sport Package

Sport suspension calibration
Active Roll Stabilization(ARS)
Active Steering with Servotronic power assist
18x 8.0 Star Spoke (Styling 123) alloy wheels, 245/40R-18 performance run-flat tires
Shadowline exterior trim
12-way power front sport seats with power adjustable thigh support

so your not just getting runflats. its a whole lot more

I would go for the sports package and flip the tires. I have a non SP 530i, i totally dig it.....but the SP has got to even make it better.

Its a good trade off.

A softer ride wich isn't the most imporatant to most BMW fans or better hadling.

I went for the softer ride.

US sport package sounds a great deal, in the uk the same options cost around ?5,000 and you get it for a fraction of the price

Same point as I made in an earlier thread, Garry, so I have to agree! The best I could do was the sports suspension for a few hundred which, in retrospect, was a very good call.

but there a certainly a lot of toys on a lot of the cars of a lot of the folk here on the board that i would like but price prohibition and all that: but the car is still a dream.

I have a non SP 530i.
Recently I put SP Package wheels which have 18" Dunlop Runflat tires.
Strangely, the handling is really bad and they can read small stuffs on roads.
Is this related to non SP suspension?
Or Is this very Normal for Wide tires?
This is the first time to have a car which has 18" 245 wheels.
Thank you for your comments.
