I can't seem to find the answer via my Google searches...

What exactly is included in the sports package? This would be for a 2008 E60, non M.

I've seen some listings that include the sports package and you get the SMG trans/"sports" button by the shift knob... then some don't have either.

Thanks for that... but thats pretty much what I've been finding as well.

Does SMG/sports mode have nothing to do with the sports pkg?

I'm looking for a 535i, not the 550i. Safe to assume the SMG comes standard on the 550i and is an option for the 535i?

You can view the 08 brochure so it will make more sense here: https://5series.net/information/

SMG wasn't available in 08, the button you are seeing is for the Sport Auto Trans (SAT) option. Basically it is just the paddles and a little tweak of the gear shifts/ throttle response. The transmission itself is the same and the performance times are the same.

^ Good info. Thanks guys! Don't know if I would've found that out on my own.

So... SAT vs auto stick... no difference?
