For those of you that have the sport package, how has your tire experience been? Are you having to replace them every 10-12k? What does a set of four average? I am trying to decide between two vehicles one with sport package and one without, the sport comes with the run flat which don't seem to have a favorable response from what I have read. I am not sure I am wanting to pay $1,000 bucks for tires every 12,000 miles.

Thanks

Love it! Wouldn't have purchased the car without it. I got 20k out of mine, and spent $1300 for a set of PS2s...

Replaced my runflats at 7100 miles because of terrible road noise. By all means, the sport package has more than just RF. Beside the dealer replaced it for free.

Personally, I would not consider a BMW without the sport package if I had the option. Forget the tires.

agree with red 5 series w/o SP why bother. had 1500 on mine and could have gone over 30k.

I have probably around 20K miles on my runflats and they still look like they have some tread left. I am looking to replace them with runflats when the time comes. I also have non-runflat winter tires that I switch to when it starts getting cold.

I had an SE and only kept it for a few days. Changed to the same model but a sport. As others have said its not just about the tyres but the overall feel and look of the car. I have no problems with the run flats at all (not tried without though) and intend to replace with the same when these go.

If you can try both and see how each drives. The SE wasnt bad but the Sport is fantastic.

I bought the SE, if I was buying again it would be the sport package.

The ride quality is at least as comfortable with the Sport, and handling is better.
