Before I order the Sport automatic transmission, I just wanted to confirm that this is not like the SMG where you have to shift gears yourself. I mean does it shift automatically ( like the name implies ) when you don't feel like shifting manually. Please excuse my ignorance.
BTW why does BMW not make the steering wheel a little smaller in diameter.

Re steering wheel size, isn't there a Sports steering wheel?

I'm surprised nobody has replied yet. Just like the SMG, the sport automatic transmission will have an Automatic setting and a manual setting so that you can do both, to be clear on that: they both do shift automatically.
BMW offers several steering wheels based on the model you are purchasing, have you seen the M sport steering wheel?

I don't think that I have seen the M sport steering wheel. Is it smaller? And would it be available with 535 SAT.

Sport Auto is exactly the same gearbox as the new regular auto gearbox, it just has paddles and a 'sport'-button which I think activates throttle blip on down shifts and a sportier gear pattern.

And as someone said in another thread, what do you expect from 150?..

BMW has stopped delivering the SMG due to low sales. The're working on a new one (double clutch, just as VW/Audi) but as I understand from the information spred it will not be available until 2009.
