Unless you're stopped: 0 divided by anything is 0.

Do you work at a bank?

My guess is that there is an error in the divisor such the that the resulting quotient is an infintely repeating decimal fraction.

Ahahahah...ok now let's be serious 0 is 0, like stopped, and that's what the needle should point! That statement (VTbound) (no offense) had nothing to do with anything (maths, cars, logic or anything).

I think we need a picture to see how bad it is or isn't.... A lot of us are desensitized by a some of the silly complaints posted here about extremely minor problems. Besides, the whole point of your car is to keep that needle as far clockwise as possible at all times, so do you really care?

Yes I agree, the idea is to keep the needle as far clockwise as possible (without getting caught). It may not be a big deal for many, but I am anal about these things!!

I am at work right now but, will take post a pic later today after I get home.

To describe it, the bottom edge of the needle is at the top edge of the zero indicator.

That has got to be one of the funniest things I have read. That guy doesn't deserve to drive a BMW... or any car.

I have a different problem.
Sometime I see the speedo needle on 240 km/h (150 mph) but I am sure I drive slower
ok ...just kidding. Don't have any issue with the speedometer.

Oh, now I see the same thing - my god, think BMW will do a buy back

Oh no I was wrong; just my skew and non-orthogonality had to be adjusted. Once I lined it up on the cross hairs and made the proper adjustments all is fine with the world
