Drive up to a nice steakhouse or any place with valet. You'll get much a much better reception with your E60 vs a Chevy Cobalt. Same thing with going to buy a car. Go in a tank top and cut-off blue jeans vs. a suit. It's human nature IMO.

Just a car?? Then why drive one?? Or for that matter the Vette??
Well...the question was if we notice any special treatment. I honestly don't and I certainly don't expect it! As for the "it's just a car", I guess that was in reference to the expectation part. I don't expect anything from anyone just because I drive an E60. BFD...it's a GD car...and a very good one at that, but at the end of the day, who gives a shit. Hell, it's not like we're driving Astons or Ferrari's or have lightning bolts flying out our asses. Special treatment? What's that? Is it expected that the unwashed masses bow down to the almighty E60? I guess I see it differently.
I drive it because I came from an E39, liked how it drove, when compared to similar cars (although the Audi was a very close second), and decide that it would fit my needs (family truckster, sporty spirited driving, and comfort...in that order I guess ). The Vette? I drive that cause I've wanted one since I was a very young kid and there's nothing like the sound of a V8 WOT!
