spark plug socket help!!

Default spark plug socket help!!

Hello everybody,

its that time where i need to change the spark plugs and i stumble on a small problem..

I can't find any info on what socket i should use for Bosch Dbl Platinum/Spark Plug.

Any info will help thanks!!

If you have the spark plug in hand, take the plug to auto parts store and try it on the sockets they have and buy the one that fits the best.

I believe it was a 5/8" spark plug socket that I used on my 545i.

Make sure it's a socket meant for removing spark plugs--they have a rubber grommet in them that will hold on to the plug and let you pull the plug out with the socket

Also: tip that helped me--wrap tape around the joints for your extensions/sockets/whatever you have to use to get to the sparkplugs to hold everything together. It makes it easier pulling the sockets out at some weird angles on 545i. 528i may be easier.
