Hi,

I recently changed my intelligent battery sensor as my battery was always dead. It came with a wire and the dealer can't tell me where it goes. The part number is 12 51 7 615 476. Can anyone please tell me where to connect it. Thanks

Take a look at this:-

You need to locate Plug connection 1.

They know where that wire goes... I bet if you lay out your wallet they will tell you! Can you trace it out from the old wire?

More information is required. If you were replacing like for like you would have connected as per the faulty item. So,is this an addition to what you originally had since it is listed as an adaptor? Adaptor for what? Assuming that you have replaced the IBS is it now working?I think your dealer is being less than helpful.
Also, the adaptor lead is from 09/2009,what is the age of your car? It is possible that it does not apply to your car!

My car is a 2004 530d. The IBS lead has been replaced but this extra cable doesn't plug into it. The dealer said that the has only come with the Ibs in the last year and he was unable to tell me where it went!
Thanks again.
