I'm just venting here....
It blows my mind that we drive these high end vechile and our spare tire is a donut!!!
I was driving home from work friday and I had a blow out on the expressway. Thank god I didn't get in an accident. But i think it's redicious that we don't have a full spare. I had to drove home on my 45 min commute going 50 mph. I think for the money we spend BMW could put in a full spare.

My Ride: 545I and a half dozen other rides
So I guess it was unsafe of me to go 75 from baker to Vegas and back to oc on a donut?
Several years ago they showed the durability of the donut spare by driving coast to coast with 4 of them on a car. The biggest issue with driving on them is the amount of air in them. Because they are in the trunk so long many times they have nowhere near the amount of air they are suppose to have in them. This part makes them unsafe, if you have the proper amount of air in them you should not have to worry that they won't finish a trip you are on.
