Spare tire kit fit?

Rob,

Did your liner have the fixing slots for the dividers??
Your tyre looks a very snug fit in the liner - which it would be, as the slots only stick out about 5mm on each face.

I actually didn't know that BMW made a liner without the divider slots moulded into them for the 5 series. I'm wondering if that liner is from another model car - because cars that come with the spare kit from the factory don't have the liner at all.

Yes it has the slots and it came with the quarter dividers which i simply removed and dropped in the space saver kit, it is a snug fit ie, the tyre touches the slots, but thought that was no bad thing.

Can you easily put and pull the tyre out?

Havnt had a need to remove it since putting it in, but cant see any reason why it wouldnt come out with reasonable ease, you can even put you hand under the back left corner to get a good hold of it.
