I have 1.25" spacers on my Jeep YJ and this gives the 33" tires a nasty wide angry stance . I was wondering with the staggered wheel setup my 04' 545i has if I should even bother? And if so should I just go rear or all around? I would love to hear from anyone with the same setup as me... I saw 12mm spacers on another 04' 545i and it looked pretty good - I just dont want to experience any vibrations, shake or rubbing.

A lot of the Audi guys would mess with them to get the wheels to sit nice. You just need to make sure you have the right hub size and longer wheel bolts. I would only but them from a reputable shop and you should be OK. It was usually the Ebay one's that would cause problems. I just got wheels with a more aggressive offset on my A6 so I did not have to deal with them. The rear could have used another 10mm though. The E60 seems to be the same way. The rear can definitely handle more poke.

That link has to do more with suspension and not much about the spacers for appearance. Diamond chimed in with his 2 cents, but widening the track is not bad. Good spacers can handle the load with no problems. If you read up about the new Porsche GT3 RS, they used different wheels on the rear with different offset to widen the track. I think the new M3 GTS did the same thing. Sometimes opinions need to be researched more.

I agree although maybe it had the best intentions? I do like a wider look and must say I am happy with the width of the tires they put on the 545i sport... the staggered look is great and nasty IMO... I just didnt know if bumping them out is worth the money, and if it would look like too much. I also dont want to change the handling characteristics of a car I have yet to really find a flaw in.
