Have an '08 550i. Car came with the following:

Front: 19x9 with et 20
Rear: 19x10 with et of 20
Stock tire size

Stock 172 wheels are:

Front: 19x8.5 with et 18
Rear: 19x9.5 with et 32

The rears do look pushed out pretty flush but feel I could get away with a 3mm spacer. I assume this would get me down to a net offset of 17. Seems I have read that most go with a 15 mm spacer on the rear of 172 rims which is net 17 as well. However, my wheels are .5" wider. Will this make a difference for these wheels and the spacer needed.

The fronts appear recessed more I guess due to et of 20 vs. stock of 18. I was thinking 5mm on the front but once again knowing the wheel is .5" wider will I still be okay. This would get me down to 15 offset very close to the 12 that is on the m5 166 wheel many like to run. tks

Most 19x10 have Offsets of 22,25,28 what brand are these and do you have pics?

Run a 5mm on the front to have piece of mind that the rim and or tire doesnt get to close to the strut

Wheels are Forgestar F14. I have a new rim in the box that came with the car and the box states et 20. Think 3mm is okay?

from my understanding, i inch in rim difference is equal to 14mm in offset difference.

So a 19x10 et 20 rim = 19x9.5 et 13 rim in terms of how far the rims are out.. If you add a 3mm spacer, it be et 10. Have to be sure it will not rub before adding.

Thanks for that information. I think the rears are good after doing some measuring per Turner Motor Sports site. 3mm might be a waste of money for the rears even if I could squeeze them in. The fronts then would be at et 13 but a measurement reveals a 5mm should work fine but that would put me at et 8 which seems awfully low assuming the offset changes by 7mm as you posted.

My next question is will a spacer even work since these wheels required a hub centering ring?

running the exact setup with 12mm spacer in the back, making it +8mm, and barely rubs
