Ok, so I too now have the dreaded SOS Malfunction light popping up when the car first starts. Bluetooth is no longer working. And of course BMW Assist is not working either.
I read the other posts about the service bulletins for the TCU replacement.
Can someone post the PDF files for those bulletins (so they look official when I print them off and take them to the dealer)?
Is there any other fix or reset I can do myself?
The car is still under warranty with about 9K of coverage left. I've already had the TCU replaced once which fixed the Audio static I was getting upon startup on all sources.

I don't think it is so clear cut - at least with my dealer. It took me literally 20 complaints to get the first TCU replaced.
I read everywhere about how hard it is to have the dealer replace their TCU. Some on this board have gone through plenty of hassel to get their's replaced. I'd like to have some decent amunition to take to my dealer. They are the only BMW dealership in Jacksonville (2 locations but the same dealer).

So I get in the car this morning and there is no SOS malfunction and i was able to redo the bluetooth pairing. All seems fine now....
Is this a sign of deterioration of the TCU?

Picked up our 07 530XiT a month ago and SOS malfunction from the day we took delivery.
Bluetooth has always worked.
Have not had time to have it fixed yet.
Is this an issue that will take a long time to fix at the dealer?
by the way, the assist function works if accessed via I drive. Nothing from the SOS button
