Default SOS malfunction

Hello everyone,

Another SOS malfunction thread, with a twist.

Background:

2008 LCI, CIC, 6FL option (USB and factory Aux)
Factory bluetooth phone, factory Aux, factory USB
SOS equipped car
Logic7 (audio is fine)

The other day my SOS light popped on. No big deal, owned a few BMWs before, went out, looked at the satellite radio module, already bypassed.

Did some troubleshooting, and I believe I have a bad TCU on my hands BUT
My bluetooth phone still works. My audio still works. I just have a SOS malfunction on the dash. I have not had a chance to try to talk to modules yet with a scanner.

If I am understanding correctly, since I have SOS, LCI with bluetooth, and the 6FL option, I have a TCU and a MULF2. Since I still have bluetooth phone and working audio, that means my TCU is bad, if my understanding of the system is correct, since the MULF2 handles the audio and bluetooth phone in cars with the 6FL option from the factory, and the TCU only does the SOS.

The day that the SOS light turned on, i had an issue for about 5 minutes after starting the car where it would stop playing my aux music. Almost act like it was unplugging the aux, dimming down the audio randomly, but then it stopped and has not done it since. Audio via aux works every time as soon as I start the car with no problems.

Any insight?

Thanks guys

If you don't mind it showing a different vin for connection no programming is needed. If you want it to have the same connection vin then you have to program it to the VIN of your car. After I programmed it it took it sitting over night to show the change for some reason

Alright so

Used SOS module

Worked for a week, bluetooth phone was kinda wonky, wouldnt show me my contacts, whatever.

Tonight - high battery drain message.
Fire the car up a few hours later, SOS light.

At this point, I am swapping back in my old Telematics unit and trying to find someone to program it out. I have zero intention of ever using this feature, and will never pay for it, so..

anyone have any recommendations for coders? I have NCSxpert, DCAN cable, teamviewer, etc..

I haven't really found anything specific for the E6x bodies, mainly E9x.

I just want the message to go away lol
