$10 plug and it will outlast the tire when it's sitting in a landfill somewhere.

I went to MAVIS. Guy working there had just bought a 335i and we had a friendly discussion about BMW's. He hooked me up for free haha. Happy about the outcome. Thanks for the information forum .

I actually have a nail in my tire as we speak. It's leaking very slowly but need to replace the tire as soon as possible.

Turboawd is right. The bolt is in the tread and not in the sidewall so it can be repaired. Just have the patch installed inside the tire, and don't let the mech install a plug.

Also, and please don't take this personal. I understand your frustration, but please keep your language professional and leave "Son Of God" out of it. He's on our side.

I just had a nail in my rear passenger side tire. The iDrive flat tire error came up with a tire puncture message. It was patched really easily. Its been over a week and the pressure in the tire hasn't been dropping. I'm sure you'll find it works out the same for you.
