I have been looking at the procedures to Hardwire a radar detector, when I noticed that the HUD windshield that I have does not have the sun band at the top of the windshield. Mine is clear all the way to the top, and therefore would not conceal the V1 as well from the outside.

So my first question is, do others with the HUD in the US have a tint band at the top, or has anyone installed aftermarket tint?

Second question, on the ventilated seats, I select it to have the three lights on, and then after a time of driving, it automatically goes down to two. Is this normal? I figured it drops down to extend the life of the fans if this is the case.

Don't know if this is the case with the Heated seats as well, I usually only put it on one.

Yes, that's normal.
It is to prevent your back getting too cold, then it would make your back stiff.
It goes from three to two after a couple minutes.
The seat heater stays on three, because if that is too hot you will turn it down automatically yourself and it doesn't harm you (well, it shouldn't ). But the ventilation you can easily forget, therefore they designed it that way.

And, sorry to be a smartass at this point... It's in the manual... (But it's OK with me, just had to make this comment...).

:bashwall: doh, yep on Page 42. I guess I did not look at the details in the manual. Kind of like looking at the Cliff Notes version of a book, and then the teacher asked a question that wasn't covered.
