Actually If the facelift comes in March. I think BMW will hold off on the engine till sept. That way they attract sales with the facelift and then attract more sales again in Sept.
yes I agree cos the engine now has only come out for 1 year and it too soon to change a new engine

By facelift you guys mean just minor change right? A new 5 will be out later in 2009 right?

2007MY E90 330i already uses the 272ps unit, so it's highly unlikely that the facelifted 530i will stick to the 'old' engine. BMW is not known historically to delay introduction of a new engine, which is already in production, on a model facelift. Besides, the 'new' engine is only a refinement of the 'old' engine, like BMW fitting VANOS to the M50 in 1992, just 2 yrs after it's launch in 1990.

You sure about the E90? AFAIK they are still the 258bhp unit?

Just been looking at the latest November Parts system update at my parts source

All the E60 standard bumper part numbers are now listed as only up to March 2007

Meaning new bumpers will be out asof March 2007 production, confirming the facelift date
This changing of the part numbers confirmed the E65 facelift dates and the E46 facelift before
BTW , what about the m5? what does the parts update say, will m5 production continue unchanged ?

No way, that would be incorrect in any meaning!

That they will not do, I'm sure about that!

The M5 will be facefifted also, remember that the new M5 Touring is coming next spring.
