Paasan: I'm sorry about this happening to you. The perps need to be physically hurt due to the complete lack of respect and regard for others.
skidster: Why would one slap a step-son just becaue they had red hair? I'm truly curious about the background of that one! Please enlighten.

Day 8.5 of no tobacco/nicotine of any kind and loving that too! [I'm having a hard time believing that I actually paid approx. $8 per day to poison myself! Oh well, live and learn, I guess]

and, of course, for the politically-correct and litigious Americans around, we should change to 'slap like a non-gender specific/hair colour specific non-age specific and non-relationship specific personage' <_<
do a google on "like a red-headed stepson" and you'll find a few other hits on the topic

I, too, have had the misfortune of damage to my car. The first time, ever, that I left it parked for an extended period of time outside of the garage, parked at a ferry terminal in NJ, some jerk scratched up my bumper. It looks like some inconsiderate bum on a bicycle bumped into my rear bumper while trying to ride between two cars. I've had this car for a month, and just could NOT believe it.
Anyway, I called up my local detailing guru who recommended that I try Chips Away (www.chipsaway.com). I'm going to give them a shot on Saturday to take out the bumper scuffs -- they're fairly cheap ($150 vis a vis several hundred for repainting the whole bumper), so we'll see how it all pans out.
