agreed, I know usually you're not a DB, but between that post and that DCT thread I figured you were spending too much time on e90/m3 posts and forgetting you were/are on 5series.net as well.....

my wife has always been a big fan of the LR but I'm a bit concern with its reliability. We're not planning to get a brand new one and I've read and hear many bad reviews on used LR. We looked at a Cayenne S also...but for some unknown reason, my wife does not trust a used Porsche even though I've owned the Boxster S in the past and didn't encounter any major problem, at least until the 75K miles mark when we sold it and got the MDX.

I drove the IS250 too and it didn't have enough power for my liking, but neither did the 525i...my mistake buying the 525i in the first place. I like the ride in the Lexus and do agree that cornering is not as nice as in the BMW, but can deal with that. I expected a lot of criticism from this forum, but not too bad so far, glad to see people can appreciate a good automobile and not bash anything they do not prefer to drive.

I love the look of the 2007 IS. I've never driven one, but I did sit in one at the recent Auto Show here in Houston. Interior was great, but a little too cramped IMO. At best, it felt to me as if it had no more room than my 3 series at the time.

I can't speak about the other models, but the 2nd gen MDX is awesome looking and much better than the 1st gen and I have owned both. I wouldn't go back to the 1st gen. due to the dated look, lack of power and SH-AWD.

My wife just bought an IS250, she was leaning on the 350, but money talks as she got 4k off on the 2010 and was everything she wanted with colors and options (every option). She really wanted an Acura, but could not get over the chrome smiley front face on the RL and TL. I agreed. the car just looks terrible from outside, however, inside is spectacular, we have always preferred the Honda build quality over the Toyota's. Both are stellar in reliability, but I give Honda the edge. These vehicles will see less service in 100k then a BMW, no doubt, however, BMW's performance is second to none. Unfortunately, for all that performance and feel, comes a price for reliability. It all boils down to what you want, expect and can deal with. As for the Lexus, I believe the IS is the best looking of their brand. Congrats on your purchase OP, you will love the car!

whatever dude, i put about 5k miles on it. a 2009. its a nice looking car, but as far as driving goes, i dont like it. the car has no power, revs like a standard 4 cylinder, hate the cruise control in it, cant use half the nav functions when in motion, and the worst was the loud noise from the tires on certain pavements at highway speed. its definetly not a car for a big person.
