Hey all,

Quick question:

Is there a way to tell which software version is loaded in my car?

My car has manufacture date of 07/04.

Thanks!

Only your dealer can advise you...they hook your car up to a computer...

Maybe someone knows off-hand from the date...

You can access the software diagnostics menu and tell what version you have if you follow the instructions in this thread:

That won't give him the detailed number he's looking for. He'll need to go into the shop and ask the service advisor. There are countless threads on this, and many of us have talked it to death. Most of us have bloody foreheads from beating our heads against the table trying to figure out ways to get the car to tell us.

In the end, the only way has been through the dealer.

Actually, if you read down a ways in the the bimmerfest link, the instructions for the menus are considerably more involved than just the simple 3R 3L R L R i-drive secret menu. They are accessing the car's on-board computer. Has anyone tried these with an E60?
