Got my E60 back from the dealer after having the Spoiler added and them performing some type of software test. Not sure what they did, can't find out until Monday.

It fixed:
CD disk is no longer off by one CD
I Can pause the radio with power botton and the mute botton on the steering wheel
I Can change both bottons on my steering wheel, Yes I have NAV. The entire screen is different.
Seems to handle better, that maybe just be in my head.
Nav had special icon for home, Never seen that before.
No change on the sunroof. Only works in position II.
As I find new things that are fixed I will update.

If you can change both buttons on the controls with nav pro then your dealer used CIP 12.0

Also CIP 12.0 has changed the climate controls a little as well...

Everything else you noticed is what it intended to fix.

BTW: Those looking for MP3 playback. As other have noted, it's clear that CIP 12.0 had to go out to fix lurking issues so this was not a priority. So let's see what happens around MY05 intro (Sept) with SW and "confirmed" enhancements.

Not sure but I think only the pro-nav cars have the diamond button fixed to repeat the last nav instruction.

Does business nav even have voice instructions?

and the diamond on the wheel
which can be programmed to repeat the last instruction
