Hi,

Just had the letest software installed with the recall here in the UK, and have noticed that TMC doesn't seem to perform as well as it did before, with the system reporting poor reception, and the TMC icon disapeering from the information bar at the bottom of the screen.

I have pro-nav by the way.

Anyone else noticed this? is there a fix?

Cheers

Rob

Robbie

I can report EXACTLY the same problem as you.

I used to have v11.x and is performed the same way as now.

Then I moved to v12.x and the TMC performance was transformed. Signal came on instantaneously, perfect TMC reception all the time.

Now with v13.x it's crap again

Now, the question is - Is it something specifically to with TNC, or are the s/w updates doing something to the two radio tuners so that reception is not as sensitive?

BTW, if you want a workaround:- Tune specifically in to Classic FM. You will then find that TMC appears much more quickly (after a few seconds usually). Then you can go back and listen to what ever you had on before, CD, AM, different FM frequency etc.

Are you going to report it to the dealer? I would but I always feel as if I'm nagging.

Browellm, yes I think i shall report it. I found the work-around by accident, but I find it a bit of a pain in the backside to tune it in like this, also, I don't like to interupt Terry Wogan in the mornings.....

I'll give it a week or so to monitor it in different locations etc.., then I'll call the dealer. I'll let you know how I get on.

if you tune TMC specifically to "Classic FM" from the TMC setup screen this does not affect what station you actually have to listen to....guess you know that but just thought i'd mention it in case
