This may have been asked before. I have the following questions:
1. How do I check to see what software version I have?
2. What is the latest version out there right now?
3. How often BMW updates the revisions?
4. Where does BMW post information on new software releases? (or how do I stay up-to-date?)

This has been asked before. About 6900 times. Do a search for "CIP update", and look around, because there is a lot of interesting info on how the update process actually works.

1. You cannot. The only way to know for sure is to ask your dealer when he re-codes it!
2. Progman 24.00 - as far as I know
3. When it likes. Or it has to.
4. Read this board - announcements or feedback from recent "upgrades" find their way here pretty soon
