If you have replaced your turbos, did BMW ever try to update the software in the system? I do not want them to up grade my software but they are saying it must be done in order for the new turbos to work properly--that makes zero sense to me. For a variety of reasons, I do not want them in the system (mostly because I have changed the vehicle order, and retrofitted sport mode and flashed my transmission, and I have a JB4) -- I think they are nuts

 

it does make sense, updated hardware needs updated parameters on the ECU. or else your turbos will eat themselves because the ECU is working them the wrong way.

 

Why can't you remove the JB4 or run map 0? I don't think the sport mode will be affected.
