Software update

Hi,
is there any softwre update for the audio system (professional)?
My car is a 530 d Touring built 09-2005.

Not sure what you expect out of an audio system software update but the CIP software can contain newer software for many different modules on the car, including the audio system. Just about everything on the car seems to be running some type of software (except for the tires, maybe ) so to answer your question, yes, the audio system can be updated.

I would expect the to stop the CD playing when I switch the engine off (now it plays for 2 oe 3 min., unless I turn to radio before switch off) and to stop the CD at the point that I am listening (now if I press the button on the dashboard I mute the CD, but it is still playing on.

Yes, the latest software has a fix for "The CD-Player (in-Dash) keeps playing after key off"

This should hopefually fix your problem
