Software on Italian E60

My Ride: 530d Touring, pro nav, Logic7, leather, 18 inch, steptronic
I onw a 530d Touring (June 2004), with pro nav and Logic 7 system. Last week I updated to 17, supposed to be last available release here in Italy, mp3 is NOT working. Has any Italian owner experienced mp3 to work??????
I gave a call to BMW Italia, they told it's not already available... shit how's
possible??
another thing... why BMW don't give any kind of documentation about software changes??? i.e. something is changed in the navigation software and I can only guess how it works... it's stupid... would yuo buy a car without owner manual?????
With 17, side leds are no more working... on Monday I'm gonna be to the dealer to fix it... I hope...

I'm taking mine in Monday too to have LEDs fixed since broken by 17. I'm not entirely convinced that there is a fix for this problem yet, should be interesting!
They are giving me a loan car while it is in so not a problem..

[/quote]I have a few other problems too which they are going to deal with, broken cupholder, knocking noise from steering, rattle from parcel shelf, the usual things, just a few minor warranty items, I thought that the LED fix was a future software release as on E60.net & told them that, but they said they will fix it.. I'll talk to them when I take it in to save them taking the car apart unnecessarily!

MP3 is not yet available in Europe for pro nav configs. The saying is that near September a new CIP version will fix that.
Re not working LED's, they've acknowledge the bug, but dealers are instructed not to do anything about it until further notice. Some said 19.1 will fix it, but I've not found confirmation for this info.

Thanks! but it's incredible... HOW they decided to link leds in some crazy way to the rest of the software... they are just LIGHTS, it means: ON or OFF...

For pro nav configuration MP3 is not yet available.
Forum's members, they seem well informed, said new CIP version in Sept-Oct will fix that.
I have 16.2 and apparently no problem (Amber LED are working fine), a part MP3.
