go into your settings through idrive. You should be able to dig it up in there. or search with google or even youtube to find more specific answer.
If you do the CIC upgrade through Bimmertech (as I did) they take care of any/all software upgrades needed for you. You can click on my link below for more info on my experience with the CIC retrofit. long story short, I love it.
