Soft Touch Peeling, How do I remove this piece so I can paint?

Soft Touch Peeling, How do I remove this piece so I can paint?-img-20110407-00351.jpgThe soft touch Is peeling on my car and its making it look cheap and old. How do I remove this piece and my buddys shop will paint them. Any tips on removing the peeling soft touch comnpletly???

You have to remove the doorcard and then you are able to remove the trim.

Take it to the dealer they should replace it under a good will policy

if you remove the door panel just remember to remove the battery connection first or else the ABS light will come on.

That happens a lot with $12,000 KIA's ...

OH WAIT. ... this is your very very very expensive BMW! Then, you obviously abused it by spilling cheap booze or paint remover on it

Seriously, I've seen this reported on this and other BMW Forums. If I were you, in addition to asking your BMW dealer to correct this issue on your car maybe you should take a few minutes to write a nice letter, attach pictures, and send it to a SENIOR exec @ BMW. It's not at all impossible that folks at the top are too distant from us mere mortals! That's what I would do - it might actually help others now or in the future.

Good luck with whatever remedy you choose
