I had it installed today and so far the 4 most obvious changes for me are
1-A better & faster Bluetooth connection
2-A more responsive gear change - I can swear it is smoother and more responsive.
3-The colour change - I love the Nav colours & the new communications menu colours.
4-I can now search using POI. But the database is a bit lacking. I put in Big Ben and it could not find it. Maybe I should tried BigBen

It's not often we try to locate a bell.

Incidentally, there seem to be a few mentioning "database" "shortfalls" which is intriguing because the DB on the Nav DVD doesn't change with the installation of Progman 25.

Has anyone with Business Navigation tried the software upgrade? Any new features? Is the display the same?

I have a UK 525i running great so am reluctant to get the upgrade unless it is really worth the risk...

Your feedback would be appreciated.

Going to look for either a 2003 540i Sport 6spd or the M5. Had two of those previously and those were nothing but FUN FUN FUN.
Greetings from Spain:
Concerning the v25 progman version, did you notice any improvement in the cold start?. Mine has a rough and clumsy one and uneven throttle behaviour.
Thanks.
Shihan.

Can't understand it, on another site, www.bimmerfest.com , posters that had the 25 upgrade have nothing but good to say about it, here most are complaining.
cheers

What do you mean that your manual is much smoother now? The MT and clutch are fully mechanical.

Well I just had v25 installed...and LOVE IT!

I think the new menu's and colors are much more modern looking. Thinking back to it, the brown seems straight out of the 80's in comparison. The search feature in nav is excellent.

My manual seems much more smoother and sounds more refined. There is definately a change here...I never thought I would be able to notice it this much.

Overall I am very happy. All this for free because v23 took out my side indicators and eyebrow.

True, but now that POI search is enabled, it is becoming apparent.

Let's hope that newer DVDs will have a more extensive database.

Oh, and Big Ben is not just a bell. It is a clock too and it happens to be the most famous one fo that. Tourist would normaly ask "how to get to Big Ben?" instead of "how to get to the Houses of Parliements?"

Very sorry (I know apologies aren't really necessary) but we disagree. Big Ben is the nickname for the Great Bell in the Clock Tower at the Palace of Westminster.

+1. This is little-known but officially correct.

Anyone get v25 installed in SoCal yet?
I just had my eyebrows fixed and I believe I now have v25. Everything seems the same with the exception of my eyebrows working now. I tried to figure out the version from my invoice but could not tell. I remember reading something about how to figure out my version from I-drive...
